International Kitesurfing

Welcome to the official home page of Skatoors' S.I.K. Center. We are located in The Hamptons, New York and Mui Ne, Vietnam. Please click on any of the icons to the left for more information. Mui Ne Beach, also now referred to as Mui Ne Bay, is located in Southern Vietnam, about 3 hours drive by bus from Ho Chi Minh City. Mui Ne is surrounded by expansive white and red sand dunes and has the lowest anual rainfall of any location in Vietnam. We have some of the best weather in all of S.E. Asia. This is most definately the best location in Vietnam for Kitesurfing and Windsurfing. Mui Ne is located just 20 minutes by motorbike from downtown Phan Thiet. Phan Thiet is a truely up and coming city with a lot of new development in recent years. For more info on Mui Ne, check out www.muinebeach.net.

Courses

BEGINNER COURSE___FEEL THE AIR!

8-hour course
A 4 day course covering safety, set-up, body-dragging and beach-riding skills. By the end of the course the student will be able to safely and confidently launch and exit the water as well as get on the board.

INTERMEDIATE COURSE___STEP IT UP!

3-hours course
This is a two part course that involves getting the student to a higher level of riding through video assessment, critique and goal setting by the instructor and student. Students are given homework to practice (on water, of course) prior to the second session. Examples of these goals include Transitions, Board Offs, Rotations, jumping and Jibes.

INTENSIVE COURSE___FROM ZERO TO HERO!

30-hour course
An intensive 10-day course starting from the basic level to an intermediate standard of riding. By the end of this course students will be riding upwind, launching in a variety of conditioning, wave riding and beginning to jump. Wave riding instruction is done through radio headset and Jet Ski support.

WAVE RIDING COURSE___SURF'S UP!

3-hour course
This course is for intermediate students only and covers all aspects of wave riding including: getting in and out of waves, re-launching in surf, short-line wave riding, toe site riding, jumping in surf and safety (last but not least!). Wave riding instruction is done through radio headset and Jet Ski Support.

INDIVIDUALLY TAILORED COURSES___WHAT YOU NEED!

Group or individual courses can be arranged to meet your skills and travel constraints.
*All equipment and transportation is provided by Sunshine Beach Resorts.
**Courses may be taught in English, Spanish, Russian, Portuguese and French.
